This Genus is in the bromeliad section of Pitcairnioindeae, a group that is mostly lithophytic or terrestrial. Though the Genus is known for it’s wicked thorns, this species has only small soft thorns that are harmless. It is one of the most dwarf growing of the Dyckias. From Brazil. Just potted up to rose pots. Very unique.
