A super unusual ‘Ant Plant’ from Northern Queensland, Australia. The caudex of this species is completely covered with rubbery golden spines giving it an almost alien look. It is quite tropical in nature, never really experiencing winter, and grows in an are of heavy rainfall. It cannot endure cold temperatures. Since it is truly an epiphyte in nature, we prefer to grow in in sphagnum baskets to provide ample moisture. Intriguing display when grown on slabs! Flowers are small and produce 1/2” orange berries. Nice 6” baskets.
